Our accommodation comprises two large ground floor rooms and two large first floor rooms, all en-suite extras. We have a conservatory overlooking the garden where guests can relax and browse through our magazines and information. In the yard adjacent to the farm house in the large car park and secure lock up bike shed. Hillfoot Farm is situated half a mile from the village centre of Hathersage with Stanage and Milestone Edges famous for climbing overlooking the village. Hathersage is within easy access of Sheffield and Chesterfield, just a short drive over the heather moors. Life and legend go hand in hand in Hathersage, Charlotte Bronte stayed with the vicar when gathering material for her famous novel "Jane Eyre" in which the village of Morton is founded in Hathersage. Perhaps the best known legendary connections concern a nailmaker in the village whose name was "Little John" the stout henchman of Robin Hood. His grave can be found in Hathersage churchyard, but go inside the peaceful 14th century church and ponder over 600 years of events and history of Hathersage. Opposite the car park in the village in the heated open air swimming pool which is very popular during the summer months. The picturesque villages of Bakewell, Eyam and Castleton are nearby where you can see many examples of the "Blue John" stone where the mines are still worked. Chatsworth "Palace of the Peak" the stately home of the Duke of Devonshire in a pleasant drive away.

By Road: From Sheffield city centre take A625 to Fox House. At Fox House continue on the A6187 to Hathersage, in Hathersage go past the George Hotel and continue for 3/4 mile to Hillfoot Farm situated on the right.
